Administrative
Leadership Academy
2011-2012
|
The primary purpose of the school
division’s Administrative Leadership
Academy is to
promote student success by providing training designed to enhance the leadership
skills of administrators.
Through the academy, administrators will have an opportunity to examine
new approaches and strategies in curriculum and instruction, to review practices
that foster positive learning environments, to collaborate with colleagues on
best practices in leadership, and to obtain current information on topics such
as monitoring instruction, fiscal management, technology, special education, and
legal issues in education.
Each seminar has a specific
target audience. The designated audience for mandatory seminars is
specified; however, administrators are invited to attend any sessions that will
benefit them professionally.
Several sessions are also designated for the Advanced Leadership
Academy track. This
track is designed for administrators interested in pursuing the principalship.
